Diesel is a classic marijuana strain and there are, inevitably, several automatic versions available on the marijuana seed market. This one, from Zamnesia Seeds of Holland, is a quality reproduction that is stable and reliable.

Zamnesia have taken a carefully selected clone of NYC Diesel and crossed it with Lowryder 2 to confer autoflowering properties. The result is an auto strain that Diesel fans will be content to know has the same terpene profile and upbeat high as the original NYC Diesel. The only difference is that it is ready in just 8 weeks from the onset of flowering. You should probably count around 11 weeks in total.

Diesel Automatic is an easy plant to grow and would make a good choice for beginners. Lighting should remain on 18/6 or 20/4 for the duration of the grow. If you have the facility to change from blue to red spectrum lights after flowering has started then do so. If you only have one light source, stick with the redder one (HPS or 2700K CFL).

Diesel Automatic will remain fairly short and compact, rarely exceeding 28″ (70cm). Outdoor grows may be larger but this is a strain that will never get too big or out of hand. The diminutive size makes Diesel Automatic a suitable choice for some stealth grows, especially if you want to keep her hidden behind a fence or balcony.

Having said that, Diesel Automatic is particularly pungent during the flowering period and stealth growers would do well to take this into account. Indoor growers should have up to date odor control installed. Outdoor growers need to watch out for nosey neighbors.

The original Diesel has a lot of followers and advocates on account of its superior flavor and high. These people needn’t worry about poor imitations here. Zamnesia Diesel Automatic has the same potent aroma of tart lemony fuel and the same uplifting and energetic high as the original. This is weed that allows you to do stuff and as such is extra suitable for medical marijuana users who don’t want to spend the day messed up on the couch.
