Overview
Columbine is named for the state flower of Colorado, the home of 303 Seeds. 303 created Columbine by taking a Flo mother (Highland Oxacan Gold x Chocolate Thai x Afghani) and crossing her with an NL#5 dad. The addition of NL #5 has added bulk and structure to the plant, which in turn has increased yields.
Columbine forms a nice chunky plant with a main central kola and fairly productive side branches. She will take on some beautiful dark colouring as flowering draws to an end, especially in cooler climates or at altitude.
Columbine copes well outdoors and will reward good sunny spots with enhanced yields. Get her out in the spring time and she will be ready to harvest around 8 weeks after the onset of flowering, usually the first week of October in the northern hemisphere.
Columbine is not available in feminized form so new growers will need to know how to sex their plants to remove the males.
You can expect a complex taste sensation with this strain. The overriding flavor is a combination of sweet and sour but you may also detect hints of pine, citrus and menthol.
