OG LA Affie (aka Afghan Bombay Kush) from DNA Genetics is a pure indica strain with a heavy psychedelic punch. The breeding behind this strain is a bit of a mystery. DNA promote it as being direct from Afghanistan, although the name implies that some tinkering has taken place. We can’t find the LA or the OG in the family tree, but suspect the names are there for a reason.

However she came about, OG LA Affie should be high on the list for all indica fans. This girl seems to be all kush and behaves accordingly, in both the grow room and the smoking room.

Although OG LA Affie is quite quick in the flowering phase, we recommend giving her some extra veg to help max out the yields. Like most indicas she is naturally quite short, so the extra vegging can really help her to put on weight. Topping and super cropping will also assist in creating more branches for extra colas, resulting in bigger yields.

OG LA Affie is a nice easy plant to grow. She can be pretty greedy so don’t hold back on the feeding. The more you give her the more bud you will get back. You should also think about thinning those fat, wide fingered leaves to allow light into the centre of the plant and to the lower sections of the branches.

The hit from smoking OG LA Affie is quite intense and will appeal to fans of the old school hippie trail weed that came back from the Himalayan regions in the ’70s and ’80s. You can expect a mind bending experience that starts out full of energy but may end up sticking you to the arm chair.

Like all kush varieties, OG LA Affie makes excellent source material for hash makers. It’s strains like this that contributed to the original Afghan/Pakistani squidgy black hash.
