Overview
Kali Mist is almost totally sativa and is a must have for all fans of this strain type. If she’s dubbed the Queen of Sativas, that’s saying something. Kali Mist has been improved upon twice since release, in 1998 and 2000. This is after taking home first place in the 1995 edition of the Cannabis Cup. She has since won a plethora of cups spanning two decades.
As you would expect from a sativa-dominant strain, you will need to make room as she likes to stretch, both indoors and out. Although be warned, because of the long flowering period, only attempt to grow Kali Mist outdoors if your climate can be guaranteed frost free until the end of November. Indoor flowering time is between 10-11 weeks and her yields range between 300-500g/m².
Because of her sativa heritage, Kali Mist will form an open structure, allowing light to reach the interior of the plant. There are a few thin fingered leaves and long spiralling, resinous buds along the whole length of the stems. Kali Mist responds well to pruning and clipping. Under lights, clones should be put onto a 12/12 lighting schedule as soon as they have rooted, avoiding unnecessary height in the grow room. Although, if you have the space, allowing Kali Mist to stretch will reward you with maximum yields.
Smoking Kali Mist is a satisfying combination of sweet and spicy smells and tastes. It’s a nice smooth smoke, but ultimately it’s all about the hit and Kali Mist won’t let you down. The buzz is clean and cerebral leaving the mind clear and focused. This makes Kali Mist popular with medical marijuana users, even with a low CBD content.
