Nirvana – Ice Feminized

Overview

Nirvana’s Ice Feminized offers a hybrid strain that leans heavily towards the indica. An abbreviation for Indica Crystal Extreme, Ice is a four way cross between Skunk #1, Afghani, Northern Lights and Shiva. She produces massive yields – both indoors and outdoors – whilst being extremely resistant to plant diseases and requiring minimal maintenance when growing. It’s no wonder this strain came first in the High Times Cannabis Cup in 1998.

The plant structure is unique. Branching and foliage are minimal as she directs all of her energy into a huge, central cola that is swamped with extremely dense buds. The nugs super frosty with heaps of shiny crystals that strongly reinforces the strain’s name.

Ice is an explosive flowerer and will more than double in size once switched to 12/12. Flowering time is typically between 7-9 weeks. The lack of side branching and bushy foliage makes Ice an ideal candidate for SOG techniques. Growers report that she will thrive in most mediums, but performs particularly well in hydro systems.

Watch out for unwanted odors when cultivating. She emits a raw diesel aroma that can be overwhelming. The smoke is quite rough as well and burns in the chest. The effects are outstanding: a heavy, lazy stone that rips up your day. Ice smells like rocket fuel and definitely smokes like it too.
