Paradise Seeds – Opium

Overview

Opium will produce what those nice people at Paradise Seeds have called the biggest colas they’ve ever seen. It is a robust and versatile plant, willing to take whatever you can throw at it and responding readily to Sea of Green, Screen of Green, Low Stress Training and pruning techniques. Opium has a very high calyx-to-leaf ratio and when she flowers huge swathes of bracts will collect together into massive colas frosted with trichomes. Opium will happily grow outside in most climates and this is recommended between the latitudes of 50 degrees north and 50 degrees south.

The fragrance of Opium is noticeable in the grow room and the smoking room. A rich, fruity aroma that carries tropical notes. There are a few different phenotypes observed and one is said to have a distinctly different aroma, more redolent of grapes. This phenotype is also distinguishable by its purple colouring toward the end of flowering.

The taste of Opium echoes the fruity tang of the aroma. A distinctive sweetness and fruity creaminess intensifies when smoked. The hit is immediate and very uplifting. Your whole body will feel energized and Opium is good for charging up the thought process and creative juices. Medicinally, she is very useful for pain relief and doesn’t induce much anxiety, enhancing her relaxation components. A recommended daytime smoke, particularly if you’re needing a kickstart to get the day’s to-do list complete.
